I ve visited Ganish Village one week back and I am still under the majic / spell of Ganish village and Karimabad. I wish I could go there again and again.

GANISH Historical places
Around a central pond are several richly wooden Mosques, 150 to 200 years old and timber-and- stone watchtower 200years old. Each donated by four families of Ganish

Two km west Ganish‘s sister village of Tsil Ganish has a Balti-style ImamBarga 160years old.
About 1.5km east of Ganish, on the KKH are several stony rises marked by with pictures, prayers and writing from as early as the 1st century AD.

GANISH
GANISH is the oldest settlement in Hunza & Nagar, and having been cut to pieces by the KKH, it has a lovely village center full of classis Hunza architecture. GANISHKUTS were once famous for their raids against Nagar. In 19th century GANISH was the main HUNZA hold-out against Ismailism and, except for five or six Ismailie families, is all Shia today. With cultural ties to Hunza and religious ties to Nagar, the village nowadays seems friendly.

Older GANISHKUTS frown on outsiders but you ask around you may be welcomed into the village, one of the least modernized in Hunza. Around a central pond are several richly carved wooden mosques 100 to 200 years old, each donated by GANISH clan, and a timber-and-stone watchtower from the days of war with Nagar.
